Jacob, under his Russian identity, had been in town for nearly 2 weeks, getting the lay of the land. Under the cover of darkness, he had traveled to Yuri’s compound to check out the area for any weaknesses, the man’s routines, how many were in his employee and what sort of weapons they were using. Through judicious means of listening devices he’d somehow managed to plant, he also worked out the layout on the inside of the building, as well as where Steve and Mia were both being kept.
