TheGorya: -Conan could smell not just Charlotte in the tunnels but something else. He could even tell if something was moving for once he could feel that he was being watched by something in the shadows. He looked at the wall as he saw the teeth marks. He didn’t know what could even do something like that. Even though there was a zombie in the camp right outside the tunnels his thought were that there might be more. He looked to Seven and Luna as he said.- “i think that we should move with caution since I am sure we are not the only one looking for your mother.” -he took another smell as he pointed straight forward down the tunnel as he said.- “Do you hear anything?” -he could not just smell but hear some strange noise but couldn’t make it out then it was gone in his perception of hearing. He walked forward down the tunnel knowing he was heading in the right direction as he started to gag at the different smells he was getting trying to stay focused on Charlotte.-
CharlotteCarrendar: – Whirring of gears, the heavy pound of the spear like legs of the monster battle droid resonated throughout the tunnels, causing bits of rock to splinter from the rock walls, and fall down in small pieces. You could hear the tink tink, of the rock, making its mark on the massive metal armour plated thorax of the super spider, while the smaller micro version skuttled along the floor of the tunnel, beeping and chittering as it picked up on movement from further up. Whistles and clicks, then sounded back to its giant counterpart, who nodded its oversized head in agreement. This tunnel was not safe, by any standards. The large beam lights that flooded the cave, bathing it in artificial light, displayed the teeth marks that were all the way around the hollowed out tunnel. Luna tread carefully, trying to avoid tripping over the smaller rocks and debris left by the miners. There was a foul scent in the air, and Seven wrinkled up his nose, whilst Luna tried to cover her nose with her hand. “Pong…smells worse than Grandad Baldrick on the dunny.” Seven cried, blinking as his eyes started to water. Conan also pointed out something else; “Do you hear anything?” The twins stopped in their tracks, straining to hear the sound that Conan asked about. Seven shrugged and replied casually; “Sounds like..digging.” Luna had to agree and then she tugged on Conan’s arm lightly. “Do you think Zombie miners would still be working…or looking for victims?” <3>
TheGorya: -Conan listened and for sure it was picking but something wasn’t right as Luna asked so boldly a solid question to him “Do you think Zombie miners would still be working…or looking for victims?” he knew about zombies but working he thought to himself ‘is this kid for really? Easy Conan she is just a kid she wouldn’t know that they crave for flesh and brain.’ he smiled at her as he said in a comforting tone.- “don’t worry Luna they are brainless body’s I wont let them harm you or your brother….” -he shot a look at Seven with a glare to not do anything reckless or be a smart ass. At this point that’s the last thing Conan needed Seven doing something that could get himself killed. He knew that he was twelve but it didn’t matter he was old enough to know that he needs to pay attention and listen. Weather Seven even understood this was beside the point Conan wouldn’t give a chance to do something that could potential get them all killed. He turned his focus back to the tunnel as he spoke out to both of them.- “we need to keep moving we don’t know if this tunnel will hold and for how long is questionable. Let’s make haste but keep your eyes peeled.” -he continued down the tunnel trying to keep his sense of smell open. His aura sensing would do him no good in this place even so the dead have no aura other than a white complex. Which makes it hard to tell what is really dead and what is walking.-
CharlotteCarrendar:- Unbeknownst to Conan and the children, they were heading into the mining operation of Jim, who had started these mines years ago, after a grant from Charlotte to start a new life on Nemaues. The heavy clink of picks striking rock, and the groan of the dead, that were still working the mine would be an errie sight to those that chanced upon them. Up to one hundred zombie miners were up ahead, dressed in torn clothing, and missing limbs, that were scattered around at their feet. The mine carts still operated, and the miners were loading the carts with a special rock, that glowed a bright green colour. Like crystals, but the smell it gave off was vile. Back at the point in the tunnel where our intrepid adventurers were, Conan was having to deal with a cheeky tomboy, who was giving his sister a bit of a fright with what lay ahead. “we need to keep moving we don’t know if this tunnel will hold and for how long is questionable. Let’s make haste but keep your eyes peeled.” Seven went crosseyed, and started to walk oddly, just to be a nuisance, but then tripped over a large piece of the crystallized rock. “Oomph!” he exclaimed, landing in the soft flooring of the tunnel. Luna knelt down and picked up the crystal, holding it in her hands, and offering it to Conan. “What is this? Is this an emerald?” She asked. It was the size of a man’s fist. <3>
TheGorya: -Conan heard Seven fall after trying to be a little shit he was. When he turned around looking to see what Luna was holding it was glowing green and the smell something he had never came in contact with before. He took the rock seeing it was as big as his hand as he heard Luna ask “What is this? Is this an emerald?” he looked at her as he said shaking his head.- “No, emerald doesn’t give off a smell like that.” -he took another good smell of it as he gagged placing his hand over his nose as he dropped about ready to vomit worse than he did in the city. As he shook his head violently trying to clear his mind as he sniffed. His eyes were watering from the burning vile smell that was coming from the rock. As he said. In a very deaf tone.- “yea, its not emerald something else. I am unsure what it is but it’s smells worse than dead body that’s been laying in the sun for three days” -he looked at Seven as he wondered if the boy hurt himself already.- “you alright there turbo?” -Looking at him laying on the floor.-
CharlotteCarrendar: – Seven drew his face out of the dust and spat out a mouthful before uttering to the ever present Conan. “Oh sure…I love to go ass over tit in a spooky mine.” Sarcastic as ever. Seven scrambled to his feet, only to turn and see Luna handing Conan the large jade coloured crystal rock. “Oi! I found that first!” –he exclaimed, since he had tripped over it. But when Conan dropped the foul smelling rock on the ground, he wrinkled up his nose at the odour. “Poooh. Changed my mind…you can keep that sample. Poooie!”- Seven waved his hand in front of his nose dramatically. Dusting himself off Seven then had a thought. “Wait…if this is a smelly rock, then…something smelly must have made it..right?” Luna peeked past Seven, and could see a filtering of light coming from deeper in the tunnel. “Maybe..there are good miners that can tell us what this rock really is?” It was a thought, but still, they hadn’t found hide or hair of their mother yet, and she was still down there. <3>
TheGorya: -Conan saw Seven stick his nose up at the find of course the little tike needed a lesson like that. He smirked as he caught himself from vomiting again. He heard “Maybe..there are good miners that can tell us what this rock really is?” doubtful in his mind but of course there was a possibility there could be. He took another smell in the air but the rocks foul smell made it harder for him to track her. His nose was smelling at over thousand times more than a humans nose. He couldn’t shake it it wasn’t just the rock but the vile order of death that made it hard. It seemed this mine had its own dangers other than just foul rocks that had the stench that was barely describable a dead body was just a minor way of saying it. He nodded in agreement to press on as he said.- “well lets go find out shall we?” -he started to walk towards the light hopping that this wasn’t going to make his day any worse. Then again Seven already made that possible with his presense. It might do him some good for something else to make his day.-
CharlotteCarrendar: – Deeper down the mine they wandered, stepping over bits of the jade green smelly rock that littered the floor, creating a carpet of sorts, only not the type you want to lay on. The light however, was not that of the one hundred or so zombie miners, but another creature all together. Off to the right, in a small hollowed out room, sat a black mole like creature, who had a large pair of googles on his forehead, beady black eyes peering down at a map on his ramshackle table. Like a small house, tucked away in the cave, he had it fitted out with antiquated furnishings, and very sparsely at that. Coloured bits of rock were on shelves, marked with scientific names and readings. Beakers burnt fluids and there were test tubes and Bunsen burners flaring a flame beneath bubbling beakers of green coloured fluid. All very strange, and he seemed to be unaffected by the smell. An old phonograph was playing a large vinyl record in the corner, the horn that looked like a large flower opened, released the tune, of an opera singer from a time long forgotten. A scientist…and down in the tunnels of Jim’s mine. Perhaps he had the answers.<3>
TheGorya: -Conan saw the giant room filled with zombie miners he creaked around the corner hopping not to be noticed. He signalled his hand to the twins to stop hopping Seven wouldn’t be arrogant and not listen as he saw the creature it was odd to see something like this. As well the zombies working as if they had a sense of direction. His mind was filled with questions the last time he encountered the undead they had no motor skills to work with very slow yet very stupid. He questioned this very world as if Arren placed him into another planet altogether. He watched the weird creature closely keeping an eye out for zombie miners that were coming by. He was nervous that he was even bringing kids around this. Then again all just to find a woman. Then again whatever was going on and whoever built this mine had good taste-
CharlotteCarrendar: The mole creature spotted the trio and their spider battle droids, and gasped. “Oh…no…What are you doing down here? If they see you…gah…come in…Quick before they get a whiff of you all.” The mole creature flailed, leaping off his stool and padding quickly to the door. “Inside…inside…hurry. Leave the big…walking tin opener outside. Hurry…get in!” The mole gestured with his hands that they got a move on, and once inside, he would close the door, and tell them of what they had wandered into. <3>
TheGorya: -Conan rushed to the door as the creature rushed them of course his speed was nothing to get there as he made sure the children were in there knowing the spider droid would fine. Conan saw the kids safe as he turned to the mole as he said.- “Alright who are you? And what the hell is going on here?” -he was in fact a bit annoyed that things have been getting in his way since he arrived in this time. As he hopped the mole would have some answers.-
CharlotteCarrendar:- Luna and Seven were quick to step into the mole creature’s small house, and his panic did nothing to allay their fears. When Conan was the last to enter, the mole creature poked his head outside, then flicked his nose up at the spider battle droid, before locking the door and placing his hand on it, while he panted heavily. Conan was full of questions, and the mole creature held up a furry paw; its claws extended, as he was giving a signal to give him a minute. “Alright who are you? And what the hell is going on here?” – The mole creature lowered his paw from the door, and then bowed his head in respect to the tall Conan. “Professor Claymore Aeon chanter. Chief geologist to the Gnoll King. I study the emerald crystals that you see all around my lab. Yes…been studying their affects and properties and trying to figure out why, it has affected the humans so badly. I take it you have run into some….undead miners out there?” The Professor’s glasses slid down his long black snout. <3>
TheGorya: -As Conan heard the mole speak he listened to what he would hear. “Professor Claymore Aeon chanter. Chief geologist to the Gnoll King. I study the emerald crystals that you see all around my lab. Yes…been studying their affects and properties and trying to figure out why, it has affected the humans so badly. I take it you have run into some….undead miners out there?” -he quickly questioned what was said to him many things ran through his mind as he asked a very important question as he was worried about the twins even Seven for that matter.- “alright then Professor since you are here studying these crystals. I have one major question does it affect more than just humans? As for your question yes we did….” -his mind had the questions of many things but mainly he needed to make sure that the crystals didn’t effect more than just humans for the sake of the kids. Even though he knew himself could be effected he knew that he could reverse it by other means if needed.-
CharlotteCarrendar:- The long whiskers of the mole Professor twitched at the question of the hulking Conan, who was deeply concerned about the crystal’s affects, especially since it was as plain as day that the crystals were the cause of the zombie like virus on the humans that worked the mine. Picking up a specimen, Professor Aeonchanter muttered under his breath, and then proceeded to explain to the trio, the mystery of the jade crystal. “The Gnoll king was the first to be concerned about this find. Many years ago, a crew from the surface started to mine down into the depths of Fjelding mountains, looking for precious metals, we assume. What happened though, is they lacked the understanding and awareness of just what resides down in the catacombs of the Mountain itself. You would have seen the teeth marks on the tunnel walls. They were not made by machines. No…they were made by the Ancient Wurms. Great rock eating wurms, that have lived within the earth for longer than has been recorded.” The mole Professor sat himself down on the tiny stool near his work bench and continued. “If you knew about the Wurms, you would be aware, that when they bore through the rock, they leave behind excrement, most foul. Green sludge….stinky. But, over the thousands of years, the sludge had seeped into the rock. Crystallizing with another foreign substance. AND it is this…that caused the dramas.” He held up the sparkling rock to the light. “The miners mistook it for a rare jewel. Little did they know what it was, and they all sought to be rich from their discovery. But…”- the mole’s face fell as he sighed softly. “Greed meant that fights broke out in the tunnels and mines. The miners all started to attack the other…and my belief is, the scent of the rock…contributed to the madness. The Gnoll King found out, after one of his scouts, alerted him to the killing frenzy going on up in the mine. And that gnoll…somehow became infected. Had to be locked in solitary…before…he too became an undead zombie…like the humans. This is why I am here. The Gnoll king wants answers, before it wipes out his kingdom. Here beneath the mountain.” <3>
TheGorya: -Conan listened to the mole tell them about his finds and the theories that are brought up. The fact the Ancient wurms are the cause of this was different indeed he was no scientist but had his own thoughts of this knowing that this mole was studying it closely without being infected was something rather odd. He was a mole yet not affected by the stone. Conan looked at Luna and Seven as he looked back at the mole as he asked a direct question.- “so if the humans and your Gnoll king has been infected what is the possibility of it affecting beings such as demons and even Cherokee wolf? I mean if this can affect two beings in my own theory it is possible that it could affect a wide vast of others. Unless there are traits that could keep them from infections. Am I correct on this Professor?” -he knew his idea was a shot in the dark. Yet he was no mere warrior that only thought of fighting, in fact when he was helping Gorya family he learned a lot about science more or less he had a thing for it in fact knowing he things logic before he agrees to term about it. He knew enough to get by with. He waited to professors answer knowing that he might be wrong.-
CharlotteCarrendar: The Mole Professor sat down the emerald crystal on his work bench, slowly pulling on his long whiskers, as Conan asked his questions as to how the crystal’s would affect the demons, or say the children and a Cherokee wolf. The mole, then beckoned the children closer, and asked. “What is it you wish most for in this world, Children?” Luna was the first to answer, and it came from theheart. “Mum.” Seven nodded in agreement, for he truly did miss his mother terribly. “We want her back. Being stuck in the Spire for months without seeing her…just isn’t fair.” For once they truly acted like normally pre teens. At this, the mole smiled, and picked up the rock, showing it off to the children. “Do you think this crystal is the answer to your desires?” You could see the haze that surrounded it and that dreaded smell. Both children shook their heads, with Luna saying. “Its a stinky pretty rock. The only thing you can do with it is..trip over it.”- The mole had his answer, and then smiled up at Conan. “Now…it’s one thing, that they are demons. Yes….I know what these Children are. But more to the point, they do not seek wealth…nor are they greedy for the rocks. Don’t you think that is odd? The rock doesn’t affect them. Humans…ARE affected by the opportunity to make wealth. It’s my theory, that this in part…spurned the madness. But…I am still doing tests to prove this.” <3>
TheGorya: -Conan’s theory was correct in a way. Yet incorrect at the same time as he pondered in hearing all this. He looked at the children for once he knew what they wanted. Their mother as he thought of what it was like to have a parent. A flash back of memories overwhelmed him for a moment as he came too. The thoughts of his past were not important. He thought a bit more on the theory that the professor had. As he spoke out in the thought.- “greed…. such a nasty and distasteful deadly sin. I guess it goes with the saying greed does kill those who seek. As does fame at times. Professor I do have one final question for you…” -he knew that the mole might in fact get confused about what he might ask.- “do you know of a way deeper into the mountain? You see we are looking for someone that we have tracked here. She is a female I don’t know anything else of what she might look like but I am sure that her children might be able to tell you more.” -he looked at Luna and Seven for answers they needed to Charlotte before too long. Conan still pondered that there is a chance that the crystals may in fact be linked to why she is here.-
CharlotteCarrendar:- Further into the mountain, Fung Le, Shadow Wolf and Charlotte had gathered together, along with Fortuno the chef, after fighting off the Gnoll hoard. Valyn had taken off down another tunnel, in a bid to get the love sick Wurms to follow him. This left the four behind, and Fung Le pointed his staff, down the tunnel made by the most recent Wurm. “Our journey is a long one, my friends. But our perseverance, will lead us to our goal. Gather yourselves, we are moving on.” The Golden Dragon Master had spoken, and Charlotte sighed, adjusting her back pack, stepping over the slain bodies of the fallen Gnolls. They had been on the Trek for what seemed like months and no closer to reaching the Summit. The Shadow wolf padded along beside Charlotte, and then with his head bowed in reverence, he said. “You are the one known as Zhu. Legend has spoken of you, Spider. I know why you were chosen by Master Fung Le. It was written.” Charlotte wiped the sweat from her brow, and slipped her hand into her back pack, taking out a bandana and winding it around her head. It was red and black, marked with the symbol, of the Spider. “What I want more than anything is to finish this quest…and return to my children.” Fung Le up ahead, overheard Charlotte and chuckled softly. “What would you do, if they sought you out, Zhu?” Charlotte tightened her bandana with a fierce tug. “This is the last place I would expect them to be. The spire is the sanctuary.”- she picked up her pace and marched past Fung Le, huffing. The Shadow wolf bounded up to the side of Fung Le and glanced up at the wise Master. “Expect the unexpected?” The wolf asked, as Fung Le nodded. “Always…Master Shadow.” :: The Mole was perched on his stool, and teased his own whiskers, thinking of a way deeper into the mountain. “To avoid the zombie miners, I have a special tunnel. But..you have to hurry, they will be heading back to the surface soon. Last thing we need is to meet up with them.” <3>
TheGorya: -Conan listened to the professor as he agreed to it. Knowing full well that they need to find Charlotte of course something started to hit him. As his heighten hearing started to pick up voices very faint but it was more the vibration of the voices. He couldn’t make anything out due to the rock but echoes of vibrations of sound could be heard with the ears of a wolf. Only know that following the professor would help them continue into mountain as he looked to Luna and Seven saying.- “well let’s get going”
MrObserver: Once again, Paradox was unaccompanied, inhibited, and observing the, gigantic being of thirteen feet tall and murdered out skin had situated himself beneath Charlotte and remained in a phased state. Paradox was silent, his entirety peering through the rough terrain upwards at her from a decent distance. “Oh, how the spider willingly rush forward, yet never truly understanding the divinity of her own self….” Completely focused upon her ears, Paradoxes words had fallen in whispers. Slowly, he’d rise upwards and halt mere inches from the open world. It was a joyous moment for Paradox, Hell, he’d just seen an alternate version of the beauty, even had a moment to dance with her. However, here… She was more alert and lethal, but nothing would stop his appearance before her. Though Charlotte had paced ahead of her group members with clear agitation and determination, Paradox knew he’d have to act quick. No sooner then he stopped; she was right overhead and in range. In a rush, the tactical-members that oh so loved to have their own way shot up and aimed to wrapped around her ankles. Paradox knew this would seem like an attack, but pulling her into an elevated plain would allow an efficient amount of time to speak with her. In the fifth dimension, time moved much faster, allowing things to accrue much more quickly than that of the plain Charlotte walked. What may seem like hours here, were only seconds within the elevated plains. <E>
CharlotteCarrendar:- The Mole Professor was caught off guard, that the group were to leave so quickly. He hurried around his little home, and locked up his windows, and turned off his burners, so there would be no fires taking hold in his absence. Placing on a miners helmet, and switching on the front light, he opened the door to his home, and escorted everyone back out into the tunnel, locking his door with a gold key. Placing the key in his pocket, he then turned back to the children and Conan and waved them forward. “This way…keep close, and on the second turn, take a right. It looks like rock, but in fact, it’s an illusion. One I set up to fool the miners. Heh. Come come. Bring that walking mechano set too.” The mole was very fast on his feet, taking off at speed, so the others would be well to chase after him, avoiding sharp bits of the jade crystals as they went. On reaching the second turn, the mole waved his hand again, then he simply walked into the rock, that shimmered, and popped to being a flat wall again, once he was through. Faith, was what they needed to follow. The children both looked to Conan, to see if they should go on following the mole. :: Charlotte was making a brisk pace, well ahead of her companions, now concerned about the talk that her children would be so bold to follow their mother on her quest. “Nah…they wouldn’t disobey me.” She said to herself, just as she felt something slither around her ankles. Cold and leathery, it seized her, and literally tore her from her place, taking her into the depth of the fifth dimension. Landing in what was like a dome of darkness, her jade eyes illuminated, straining to see where she had landed, and who had her by the ankles. <3>
TheGorya: -Conan looked at Luna and Seven as he nodded trying to get them to move it. He knew he could simple just shoot straight himself to the rock but wanted them to follow the mole first. Since they were squishy compare to him he could take care of himself. Even though Seven has gotten on his nerves he didn’t wish for the poor tike to die in a place like this. As he waited for them to follow he quick managed to keep himself hidden from the zombie minors only since he was using sound to make the kids footstep harder to hear. A talent that came in handy never the less. He knew the kids were going. As he followed behind them making sure that they were never heard by footsteps.-
MrObserver: Paradox had succeeded, dragging his target into the elevated plains and before him stood with illuminated jade eyes was… Charlotte. With his voice becoming like a whisper in the wind, Paradox ghosted around Charlotte. His voice ringing in one spot, and then another. “It’s a pleasure to meet you… Miss Spider. You may call me.. Dreadfinder… Paradox Dreadfinder.” Paradox finally made something of himself as he halted in front of her and drew himself out from the shadows more or less. He was tall, that much was obvious, just as his face was, blacked out. This must still be a sight for her though; Paradox had thought. “A thirteen foot tall being of an elevated plain before you, and all after being pulled into his own world?” Paradox had chuckled lightly, but it was a facetious chuckle. He strode forward with one foot crossing the other in a classy mocking demeanor, and his arms spreading out horizontally in a greeting gesture. “And welcome, Charlotte to the fifth dimension, or the elevated plains, but you may call your trek away from a trek.” Once again, that facetious chuckle rolled off and through his words, he’d directed towards her. Paradox knew to be on guard, but really didn’t fear her attacking him. “I wonder if she would like to dance…” Paradox had the thought cross his mind, but knew she wouldn’t be all game for that as of the moment. “Though I have pulled you away from your comrades, you have nothing to fear. They won’t know you are gone, dear. Here, we are gifted with time on –our- side, in comparison to the world you are use to walking in…” With his tone shifted to a more respectful tone, Paradox bowed gratefully towards her and rose up once more with his featureless face directed down towards her. <E>
CharlotteCarrendar:- From the dark tunnels of Fjelding mountains, to the fifth dimension in but the blink of an eye, Charlotte was not too pleased with her new surrounds. More time away from the Trek, meant the longer it took to right the balance. The owner of the voice; that so mocked her with his words, after his warm introduction; was faceless. No eyes, no mouth, no nose. How does one reason with a creature whose emotions are not written within the creases of his face. Charlotte by nature was always curious of the strange, the unusual. After all, she was not all she appeared to be on the surface either. “Paradox DreadFinder.” His name was bizarre, but did it mean that he was indeed a paradox himself? Thirteen feet in height, and towering over the demoness, was intimidating enough. “And welcome, Charlotte to the fifth dimension, or the elevated plains, but you may call your trek away from a trek.” Charlotte folded her arms in front of her, clearly rattled. “You are a very strange individual, but why take me from the quest. What importance am I to you?” Time it seemed was not the issue with Paradox, but it was clear, that he would not stop moving around her until he got what he wanted. Her jade eyes glowed, illuminating her alabaster skin. Never poke an angered spider…unless you are prepared for their bite. :: The twins joined hands, and together, they both walked through the illusion of the rock, coming out the other side in a large tunnel, that didn’t smell of the emerald crystals. The Mole looked back and waved them on. “Hurry..this way. Not far now.” The large Mechanical spider droid kept hesitating about going through the rock wall, till the micro spider chirped and dashed through, vanishing from sight. It was then the larger monster spider, made its move, lumbering through and disspearing into the new tunnel. <3>
TheGorya: -Conan appeared on the other side as he looked back amazed that this mole could do such a thing the very fact that he couldn’t tell it was an illusion was something altogether interesting to him. He turned to see the mole telling them to move behind him the battle droid followed Conan had an uneasy feeling but he could smell things something that was rather interesting. He could smell deeper into the tunnels as he was hot on Charlotte’s scent yet something else was stopping him from finding her. He could smell something else magic, different races of beings among other things he could tell off the top of his head he only thought since the scent was masked by something to follow the mole further knowing he would know the way. Seeing the twins holding hands. That was something he never thought would happen the fact that Seven and Luna were getting along without Seven trying to be dominating to his sister. As they followed the mole Conan started to feel there more here than just Charlotte a fight would most likely be on their hands before the end of this rescue.-
MrObserver: “Relax… Have a seat, dear..” Paradox knew all too well she was feeling worn out from the trek, so her being here would allow her the allotted time needed for a decent recovery. Paradox didn’t even have a chair to sit on, it just materialized as he bent his knees in action of following his own words. “You see, Char. Is it okay if I call you that? Char, here in the elevated, you’re granted… certain rights much further above the ones you have in the plain you walk in and perceive things in. Go on, take a seat.” His voice was courteous as he leaned forward, placing his elbows on his thighs and his chin on the interlaced fingers of his hands. “I just want to say, it’s a pleasure seeing your beautiful face again.” A slight chuckle granted his world with a mischievous subtlety as his expressionless face scanned hers. Paradox sat up and leaned against the back of his exiled throne, crossing his left legs over his right, and his arms over his chest. Though he’d just slipped and admitted to seeing her before, he wasn’t so keen on the idea of letting it be known as of this time… he was truly a paradox, but Paradox had an Idea she knew already. Thought faceless as he was, there was ways to tell his expressions. One needlessly look to his tactical-members, which had stopped weaving around in the around his body, and had interlaced into braids that lay on both sides of his throne. A sign Paradox was withholding some information, but nothing to important. “Char, you see.. I have pulled you away so that you may rest, and so that we could have a single dance maybe… Boy, how I love to waltz.” The chuckle had been replaced with a professional undertone, followed by a deep sigh.<E>
CharlotteCarrendar:- Professor AeonChanter had a heightened sense of smell, within the tunnels, and especially this tunnel, since there was no trace of the emerald crystals. Sniffing, he held up a paw, and then fidgeted nervously. “I..I..smell…a wolf” He stuttered, his whiskers twitching and the mole teetered back and forth on his two small feet. The Twins had caught him up and they too could smell something that was not the crystals. “What would a wolf be doing down here?” Luna asked. Seven didn’t need the answer, he was too excited. “It’s better than a zombie…come on.!” The young Carrendar sprinted down the tunnel, causing the Mole to panic and take off after him. Luna spun around and saw them dash off. “WAIT!” she cried, chasing after them, while the micro spider danced and scrurried off with a wild chorus of chitters and clicks. The large battle droid flashed its lasers down the tunnel, illuminating it,and started a low mechanical chorus to the young ones to stop, before it too thundered down the tunnel. Up the other end of the tunnel, Fung Le froze and then raised his bo staff, before slamming it down into the dirt. “ZHU!” he realised she was gone from this plane of existence, but the sound of the children coming, had him taken aback, not having seen this in his dreams. The Shadow wolf sniffed the oncoming scent and then look bewildered. “Smells like her…but not.” How right he was. :: Within the fifth dimension, Charlotte was pacing back and forth, as the man with no face was attempting humor in her presence. You see, Char. Is it okay if I call you that? Char, here in the elevated, you’re granted… certain rights much further above the ones you have in the plain you walk in and perceive things in. Go on, take a seat.” Charlotte didn’t feel like taking a seat, and she made it clear. “Standing suits me.” She stared him down as he sat in his throne, and she shook her head. “Why am I getting the strangest feeling of déjà vu?” She felt very much like she had met this being before, but didn’t know where. But the part that got her, was he asked to dance. A waltz. She rubbed her temple and then asked. “A single dance? That’s all?” Maybe this would be the way to get her out. Dance with the being and then he let her on her way. “Alright…one dance, then I got back on my quest.” <3>
TheGorya: -Conan heard the professor say he smelled a wolf of course something was odd. A wolf he took another deep smell again smelling it as well as he quickly followed behind as he started to feel his spirit guide speak with him through the mind as it was Arren.’Conan your time as a Time ward is over go freely and make your own path. When you are finish and your life has ended you shall live again with your wife and child.’ Conan heard it as he growled not caring anymore about Arren’s wishes of all time he picked during the edge what would happen. He could feel the time seal on his chest vanish his full power restored to him. No longer bound by Arren he is free. Within this place he will finish his friend’s last wishes as he followed deeper into the tunnel sighing under his breath. Mumbling.- “Finally free….”
MrObserver: She had honored his request, what a pleasant surprise it was, and Paradox wasn’t going to let it go to waste either. He rose up from his throne and unbraided his tendrils so that they might curl up on his back to make things less…. Strange. Nothing was more entertaining that the waltz to him, well, for the most part. Paradox extended his right hand in suggestion for hers. His height would make it a challenge for her, so out of respect for the woman, his body decreased in size to roughly match hers. His skeletal hand still extended for hers, and his head slightly cocked to the left as a lowly drone emanated from his chest. <E>
CharlotteCarrendar: – Time lines….two different worlds, that were once one torn asunder by the power of one. Now the daughter of Lore, was to dance the light fantastic with the Paradox himself, while in the other world, her children were to come face to face with Charlotte’s spiritual guide. The Golden Dragon Master; whose bo staff slammed into the floor of the tunnel, sending out a pulse like shock wave. This reverberated across the strains of time and space. Luna and Seven turned the corner, only to see and feel Fung Le’s power. The Shadow wolf crouched and there was no sign of Charlotte. At the same time, Charlotte was offering her hand to the Paradox, who if he took it would lead her on the same waltz as that that happened in the other spiral. Charlotte grew closer to the Paradox, as Charlotte’s children approached Fung Le, who gazed down on the pair, then touched each on the head gently, before raising his head to see Shadow. “Ancient one…you did well. He is pleased with your sacrifice. Honoured and now…you are free.”- The Shadow wolf rose, and then padded over to Conan, bowing his head in respect. “Great one…welcome to the Trek, will you continue with us, or return to your own kin?” <3>
TheGorya: -Conan felt the shock wave of power that surged through the tunnel as he closed his fist. As they turned the corner to see a man with a staff as a wolf approached him bowing in respect to him. “Great one…welcome to the Trek, will you continue with us, or return to your own kin?” he heard the voice as he was called great one returning to his kin? He smirked at the wolf as he said.- “My kin is no where other than in the afterlife. For that I have the choice to do what I wish I am not great I am myself. As for this I ask where is Charlotte?” -he was bold of course he could smell the wolf by far he didn’t know what was going on. He wondered what would happen as he stepped in front of the twins as a shield in case something was to happen as if his own body was moving on its own. His mind was telling him to stay back but his body was doing the opposite. As if he had a calling to protect even to himself he had no idea why he was doing it. But he was guarding the children maybe it was Luna or maybe that it was the fact she resembled his daughter as his heart felt the need to defend.-
MrObserver: Taking hold of her hand, Paradox sidestepped with foot over foot as to make a circular motion in the lead of the dance. Intently, he pulled her closer, his right hands fingers interlaced with hers, and his left arms extending around her waist; placing his hand on the small of her back. “An endless waltz is the basis of time, and sadly… though we have all the time we would will, time is strangely growing short…” Paradox had whispered as they rotated along the dimly lit area, around and around they went… Paradox speaking of her inner plight and how he had been watching over her.. Hoping Charlotte would not pull away, though he never mentioned the altered timeline, he could feel things pulling him back into it. With seconds remaining, Paradox leaned his featureless face and brushed the lower portion of his jaw against her cheek: a distraction to the mark we was leaving attempting to leave on the small of her back…the elevated mark of salvation. With a dreary tone lingering in his voice, paradox said his farewells. “Remember, there is much that resides in your, much you do not know of… I’ll be watching.” His worlds floated as he once again flickered a few times before rushing her back to the spot she, had been pulled from. “Hurry back to your group… a pleasant surprise awaits you… young Carrendar. ” The airflow in the tunnels whispered to her alone. <E>
CharlotteCarrendar: – The words and the dance were a whirl and then as quickly as it happened, with a small press to her back to mark her, Charlotte found herself standing back in the tunnel where she left off, only thing was, something big was blocking her path. A great big spider battle droid. “JACK?” Charlotte cried, and the oversized mechanical spider lowered its laser eyes down, scanning her form, before coming up with a green fleck of recognition. It chattered madly on seeing his old Mistress again. Charlotte’s voice also was heard by her children. “MUM!” Luna and Seven cried out, both running to her side, where she had a shocked expression, clutching her children. “Kids…how did you get here?”- so surprised they were there. The words of Paradox lingered in her mind however : “Hurry back to your group… a pleasant surprise awaits you… young Carrendar. ” Was this the surprise he spoke of? She kissed the tops of their heads, with their arms tight around her. Looking up, she saw a smiling Fung Le and the shadow wolf, along with a man, she didn’t recognise. Charlotte asked. “Did you bring my children to me?” she asked of Conan.<3>
TheGorya: -Conan saw Charlotte appear he couldn’t understand what was going on his mindset see the children call her “mum” he shot his eyes wide open as he stood there as he relaxed himself not sure what to say at the moment. Then again the moment was cut short as Charlotte asked him a direct question as he nodded to her.- “I did, however they wouldn’t have made it without me I am afraid. They planned on finding you by themselves before I stumbled upon them. My goal was to find you myself Charlotte. My name is Conan Silverfang a friend of a friend of yours. I have news to bring you however sadly my presence to you doesn’t come with much more news other than word of the Gorya.” -he knew she might not remember him or even know him. He felt that she might in fact attack him for even bringing her children into such a dangerous place. He had no choice either that or let them die. He didn’t know how to put out the next set of words as he didn’t wish to spoil her moment with her children. He just stood there waiting to see if she would want to hear of it now or later.-
CharlotteCarrendar: – With her children at her side, she approached Conan, eyes that were not filled with anger or rage, for she loved her children more than anything. Sure, this was a dangerous place, but anywhere in Nemaues now was, so this just felt right. Fung Le and the Shadow Wolf, kept their silence, watching the interaction between Conan and Charlotte. Conan presented himself, in a formal introduction, and then explained how it was he that brought the children down safely, due to the fact they would not have made it on their own. “I am grateful, Conan of Gorya. You have given me back my children, when I needed them by my side. You have shown care and understanding, and that is a tall order, especially with these two. Please…what word do you have from your world of Gorya?” <3>
TheGorya: -Conan looked at her and smiled a bit as she spoke to him. She was not upset with him of course she wouldn’t like the news he brings to her. He reached into his endless sack that was on his side as he pulled out a letter that looks older than her.. as he said.- “As the messenger of Shadow Eris Gorya upon his death he asked me to give this letter to the one known as C.C. To who it’s addressed to.” -he looked at her with sad eyes as he offered the letter with a wax seal on the opening. While he offered it to her he continued.- “I am sorry I font mean to be the person to give you news such as this.” -he looked at Luna and Seven as he nodded then looking down as if he was about to make their mother cry. He didn’t know the relationship between her and Shadow for his knowledge Charlotte might have loved him or him to her.-
CharlotteCarrendar:- News of Shadow’s passing hit Charlotte like a knife to the heart, and she nervously took the envelope from Conan, as her children watched on silently. So this was why Conan had to get the message to Charlotte directly. Respectfully, they let their mother go, as she left the group for a moment, and lent against the tunnel wall, slowly tearing open the wax seal. From within the envelope, she withdrew the final words of Shadow. Slowly, Charlotte started to slide down the wall and onto her buttocks, while her eyes welled with tears of sorrow. Her head bowed, as with shaking hands, she read the letter, her tears splattering upon the pages, discolouring the fine paper. Shadow wolf and Fung Le stood solemnly, as did the children, for to see Charlotte grieve for her dearest friend was a heart touching moment. Drawing up her right knee, her left hand fell and the letter landed softly in the dirt, while she lowered her head to her knee, shedding her tears in private. It was a day of joy, and sorrow….all rolled into one. <3>
